HdM Startup features App for Java Forum Stuttgart 2019
The HdM start-up NeverNull (formerly known as Neonalpha) has developed the brandnew app for the Java Forum Stuttgart 2019. The Java Forum Stuttgart is organised by the the Java User Group Stuttgart e. V. and takes place on July 4th 2019. It is one of the biggest Java conferences in the area with nearly 2000 participants yearly since 1998.
The NeverNull GmbH was founded in 2018 by Daniel Thommes, Henrik Wirth and me as a HdM spin-off from a research project, conducted in cooperation with the University of the West of Scotland. It was awarded in 2017 with the EXIST founders award, funded by the BMBF (Federal Ministry for Economics Affairs and Energy). The company develops a Java based cross-platform framework for mobile applications, allowing Java developers to develop high performance, stunningly looking native apps for iOS and Android (and soon MacOS and iPadOS) from one code base. It makes app development much easier and faster than other cross-platform solutions (such as React Native and Flutter), especially if you are a Java developer. If your backend is written in Java, you benefit even more from the common language base and the seamless integration.
The Java Forum Stuttgart App was built using the MobileUI framework developed by NeverNull and has a code reuse of over 95% for iOS and Android.
You can download the App in the App and Play store here, and try it out:
