In the course of a semester project in the winter term 2011/12, two of my students (Luca Petrusch and Christph Schulthess) developed a software for controlling a stop-motion camera system. The hardware was developed by a student (Hannes Bucher) of the course audiovisual media in his bachelor thesis.
The software runs on an Arduino device and was developed in C.
The software allows to manage the stop-motion-camera movements using a joystick and a LCD display. Exact repetitions of movements for special effects are possible. The Arduino micro controller device controls the motor, camera and LCD display.
