The rapid development of the mobile sector and the ubiquitous access to the internet grows demands of consumers. Nowadays many people claim for access to their data through the car’s build in head unit. The slow development cycles of in vehicle infotainmentsystems (ivi) and the thus used out-of-date technologies prevent satisfying the consuments claims.

Using open source technologies for development of applications for ivis will shorten the development cycles. Connecting the smartphone with the car will play a central role. The phone will provide PIM, sensor and media data for the ivi.

This bachelor thesis describes the development of an iOS application providing such data. Both the used frameworks to access the data on the phone and the available interfaces will be described.
